$2 is not a lot, but if u multiply by 30 days, it is already $60/month, $720/year. That is about 6 YEARS supply of monthly lens! But i dont think i will ever go for lasik.
On 'Contact Lens Day', before i come home, i'll go to the salon to do hair treatment and they will style a nice nice TaiTai hairdo for me. But every time when i reach home, i'll be back to being Mommy to Joel...so my nice nice hairstyle is GONE!!! Haha... That is so un-TaiTai.
Today is just the same.
P.S. If i just go to the supermarket or nearby (walking distance), i will just wear my home tshirt, a bottom...and look totally "nerdy" in my specs.

ya, i am wearing daily lenses too. really expensive! So sometimes i wear specs on short outings
yeah, i also do that...dont waste the $2. haha! i dont like to wear specs when i'm out. i feel kinda "lost" with so much movement going around me. at home it feels more comfortable.
I used to be on monthly contact lens. Then because i usually only wear it during the weekends, i change to a dailies. Then now, i realise i use it almost everyday. Don't like the sweaty specs on my nose bridge lah. Just very uncomfortable. So now, i change to a 2-weekly lens. And i'm still buying the lens from Spore. HAha. Don't know if it's cheaper here.

Is Jakarta hotter than Spore...so makes wearing specs more uncomfortable? Do u stock up on your lens?
I've got a 1-year supply of dailies which can probably last me about 2 years lah. (Coz i get 40% off for 1yr lens) That's why i didnt think of doing lasik. Plus my degree is about 200 only lah.
2 of my sisters did lasik and are happy with it. U young girls should do it. I'm so old already...and i suspect i already have a bit of long-sightedness. -.-lll
40%? Where did you buy your lenses from? I'm still getting my lenses from spore. Cos my right eye has astigmatism, so if i were to buy in Jakarta, have to wait up to 3 months cos they need to order from overseas.
40% here! If buy 6-mths supply i think is about 20% off. I used to buy from Spore at about S$2/day (special promo). The 40% here, same brand J&J Acuvue works out to about S$1.80/day.
