If you've never been to Shanghai, you've missed Edison Chen's fashion store ACU on ChangLe Road. It's one of the coolest 2-storey shop along that stretch. It's East meets West deco...lots of wood & bamboo elements. No photography in the store...AND there's even a security guard at the door! Becoz some of the shoes are REALLY EXPENSIVE! During early winter, i saw baby suede moccasin shoes selling for more than S$800!!! All these expensive shoes are displayed in acrylic cases. The rest of the relatively "cheaper" shoes are displayed on stylish wooden shelves with chinese elements. On the whole, this cult shop makes chinese furnishings look so very fashionable!
They carry labels like ACU & CLOT apparel (by Edison, the man himself), Adidas, Be@rbrick, Converse, Goodenough, Head Porter Plus, iDiom, Nike, OrginalFake, PAM, Recon, Subcrew... Most are pretty limited stuffs. Eg. the Nikes are not the regular Nikes in stores. Hence, almost everything is very expensive here.
They closed their heavy wooden doors on 27 April 2009.
I sneaked a picture on my cellphone while Elvis was in the fitting room. Not the best angle from where i was seated. We just found out that that was the last day (of operation). Most of the shoes are gone, there were also none girls stuffs or bags left (although they stock very little girls stuffs lah).
Elvis bought 2 P.A.M tshirts and a CLOT sweater. The ¥4000 baby shoes were gone...although i doubt anyone bought them. Keke...
This is L2. The guy you see is their staff. Somehow, we think that all of them look a bit like Edison - esp the "saay". ByeBye, handsome boys!
P.S. Actually i was here a week ago with Cheewai & Jayz but i didnt go upstairs as i had Joel-on-stroller with me. Apparently, we needed to QUEUE to get in! The 2 guys also didnt buy anything either. They said it was still expensive after the discounts. We didnt know it was a Closing Down SALE! We thought it was just a Sale-Sale. If i knew, i would have gone upstairs with my fat baby!!! SHARKS!!! No time for regrets now. :/

SaturdayThe weather was so lovely today! We went to Norman's villa for BBQ in the afternoon. It's a huge house - Villa Riviera. This is the kind of scene along the way... Looks really "outskirts" huh. The chinese kind of concrete bridge...(see right) It's quite a long taxi ride...esp with the traffic jam.

Joel & Mommy went home alone as Daddy went to attend a wedding dinner. I let Joel sit facing out today. (And i used my Marc Jacobs handbag since i dont need to bring any porridge out today! Finally dont need to take big diaper bag! Haha!)

As usual, it was shopping spree at ChangLe Road & HuaiHai Road. We went home to unload the shopping...then dinner with friends at Chiang Mai Thai Cuisine - our favourite Thai restaurant by far. The Thai chef has also become our friend becoz of Pick. (I like Coconut Paradise for its ambience though)

sweet 16
Uploaded pix for Joel at 16 months below...This weekend, Joel has also taken a few steps on his own (from the distance of 25cm to 70cm), and can sometimes stand unsupported on his feet for pretty long (about 2 mins).
Joel is fussing a lot now when we're eating outside. He makes so much noise we've finally given in to him (when the baby biscuits dont work anymore). On Saturday, i finally used the small pair of scissors i put inside his lunch bag. He ate some soup fishball noodles (guo-tiao tang). (I've actually been waiting for this day! Haha!)
I started to use the new 330ml Avent milk bottle on Joel too. He's been drinking from his usual 260ml milk bottle, + 20/30ml more. Filled to the brim (after i dissolve the milk powder). Lately, he's been crying for more after he finishes the milk. But he's always alright after a while...so i didnt want to open the new milk bottle becoz it looks so big - even though it's only 70ml more. (It was more of a stand-by bottle. Just in case.)
Daddy Elvis also snipped the teat of Joel's pacifier. True enough, Joel didnt want the spoilt pacifier. We kept 1 pacifier intact - to soothe him when he wants to sleep. (Elvis very blur as always. Instead of cutting off the tip of the teat "horizontally", he cut it "vertically". Fortunately it still "works" although i'm afraid Joel's tongue will get caught in between. Ouch!)
Mommy sometimes likes to bite Joel's things eg. his clothes, his Bear-Bear (instead of clenching my teeth or biting the real baby). On Sunday morning, i bit Joel's sweater...thinking it's the sleeves...but he cried...and then i realized it's his hand!!! There was my 2 teeth marks, and it was red (looked like blood underneath his skin). I felt sooooo terrible it was like a piece of my flesh came off! Joel was alright after a short while and he didnt even fuss over it after that. Still, i feel very bad about it. :_(
Actually, i'm also pretty sure Joel "knows" the meaning of these (new) words...coz sometimes i hear him say them and it's right - at that point of time.

I just saw on TV that commuters in Shanghai will soon be able to use their cellphones to pay for rides on the bus, train and taxi. All this with just a tap with your 交通卡手机 translated into transport card enabled cellphone.
So cool, right?
Japan and Korea commuters are already using this technology. I hope the cellphones designs are nice! (The one i saw on TV was a nice sweet pink local brand cellphone tested by the reporter on the bus, train & taxi. She SUCCESSFULLY went through all! WOW!)

16 months
Joel still weighs the same as last month. 10.4kg and (approximately) 79cm.
3 things he likes to do. (1) Ask you to read him a book. He insists and shoves the book at you! (2) Read on his own with his cute little voice. (3) Smile at pretty girls in TV commercials. CHEESE + Square Face!

14 tippy toes
These are all of Joel's socks which i bought before he was even born. Everyone loves them! But he's outgrowing them (he outgrown the little "shoes" before he turned 1)... so i have to get some new ones for him. Fortunately, socks are really cheap here! ;)
P.S. The "slippers" are really cute...but they dont match Joel's skin tone. So, he looks like Chinaman wearing nude-coloured silk stockings with slippers!!!

The Ninja Turtles can be green in more than one way with this awesome idea of an environmentally friendly pizza box. It's so simple and brilliant: One half of the box breaks into four squares, which can be used as plates. The other half of the box has a crease running down the middle, and two triangular pieces can be ripped off to easily fold this part into a storage container for leftovers. The Green Box is made from 100-percent recyclable material; it reduces waste of dish-washing detergent, disposable plates, aluminum foil and plastic wrap.

little manhattan
You wouldnt know what lengths i went to to get my hands on this. (I watched 3/4 of the movie onboard SIN-DSP) I couldnt understand why NO shops carry this - coz it's not a new movie!!! So glad when i finally found it last week! Elvis enjoyed the movie too..and was laughing his head off. I feel i could watch it again, anytime! ;)Little Manhattan (2005)
Little Manhattan is a feel-good comedy that's perfect for kids and adults alike. Gabe (Josh Hutcherson) and Rosemary (Charlie Ray) have known each other since kindergarten, but when they come face-to-face in a karate class, they see each other in a whole new light. the beauty in old things
Most of the time, i love to show people the "Old Side" of Shanghai. (You probably thought of Shanghai as very old, rural and dirty from my photos) Shanghai is a big and modern city. I just didnt think that tourists come to see/shop in big air-conditioned malls. Shanghai has lots of shopping malls too - much bigger than Singapore's.
In fact, many of the "hip" shops are housed in those seemingly old stone houses known as shikumen 石库门. Some are old-old. Some are rebuilt. Some are restored. That's the beauty of Shanghai - in my opinion.

sudden rush
Surprise! Surprise! Catherine & Ricky are arriving next Tuesday! (Meanwhile, Ricky applying for his visa to come coz he's Indonesian/Spore PR)
They'll head first to Hangzhou for 2D1N...then back in Shanghai for 3D3N. Leaving next Saturday night.
Based on what she plans to see (in Shanghai), i've planned a rough 3-day itinerary for her... Quite rush again... I always wished people had more time to see S.h.a.n.g.h.a.i.
So far, my longest-staying guest is Janis (in Dec'06) coz she's a teacher and came during her school holidays! Haha! We had a really great time touring Shanghai! Her colleagues & some archery students were also here at the same time, so i also went to visit them at the training ground. FYI, Janis left Shanghai with a 35kg suitcase! That's some crazy shopping! Haha!

no more holiday
My other friend, BeeLing, who was keen in coming to Shanghai for holiday (this/next month) before she pop* just told me over MSN she's not coming after all. Coz her daughter was sick over the Good Friday weekend. Little Kaede vomited, couldnt eat and has lost some weight. So her daddy is very worried...said dont wanna go holiday already.
*BeeLing is pregnant with #2 and EDD in early August.
So now, we're just expecting:
- Catherine & Ricky (our Nafa friends) in May'09
- Benson, Sharon, Claudia & #2 in Summer/Autumn '09

no water
This morning, i woke up early but decided to lay in bed for an hour looking at Joel play (which meant grabbing things from our bedside tables, spinning objects, chewing his BearBear, playing with his milk bottle, spilling milk on the bedsheets...).
When i finally woke up to brush my teeth, i realized the water was "small". It's a bad sign. They're washing the water tank AGAIN! I quickly finished up washing and went to make Joel's porridge. Before i knew it, the taps were dry. (So Joel cannot have his usual morning bath)
On Friday night, when Cheewai & Jayz came to our house after dinner, Jayz was still saying how nice we're staying in the "penthouse"...and i told him it's not good when they wash the water tank. Becoz no water, and when the water is back it is very small, not enough pressure to light up the gas coz we're on the top floor, so no hot water, need to boil water to bathe...blah blah blah... Elvis was still chiding me for exaggerating, saying 'It's not so bad lah'. I said it happens twice a year which seems very often. (How often do you need to boil water to bathe in Singapore???) I think he doesnt notice it since he only comes home in the wee hours - when the water is 'Back To Normal'.
Once, Elvis' parents came to visit in early Spring/Winter...and there was also some problems with the water/pressure. And his dad so "lucky"...always the one who encounter it when he's in the bathroom - bathing or brushing his teeth! So he's always cursing and swearing inside the toilet! Once, i asked him to quickly rinse away the soap with the (cold) water then come out. But he doesnt want to. So he stayed inside for a loooooooong time. So poor thing.

The worse was after they left, i remembered i even had to boil water to bathe. At that time, i only had 1 pail (for washing the floor), so i had to scrub it clean before i used it to contain the water for bathing. On top of that, i only had a 1L kettle. Imagine the number of times i had to boil 1L of water enough to fill the pail!
And now this - today!
Fortunately Cheewai has left. Or else, he'll wake up with with a really bad hair day! ;p
When i finally woke up to brush my teeth, i realized the water was "small". It's a bad sign. They're washing the water tank AGAIN! I quickly finished up washing and went to make Joel's porridge. Before i knew it, the taps were dry. (So Joel cannot have his usual morning bath)
On Friday night, when Cheewai & Jayz came to our house after dinner, Jayz was still saying how nice we're staying in the "penthouse"...and i told him it's not good when they wash the water tank. Becoz no water, and when the water is back it is very small, not enough pressure to light up the gas coz we're on the top floor, so no hot water, need to boil water to bathe...blah blah blah... Elvis was still chiding me for exaggerating, saying 'It's not so bad lah'. I said it happens twice a year which seems very often. (How often do you need to boil water to bathe in Singapore???) I think he doesnt notice it since he only comes home in the wee hours - when the water is 'Back To Normal'.
Once, Elvis' parents came to visit in early Spring/Winter...and there was also some problems with the water/pressure. And his dad so "lucky"...always the one who encounter it when he's in the bathroom - bathing or brushing his teeth! So he's always cursing and swearing inside the toilet! Once, i asked him to quickly rinse away the soap with the (cold) water then come out. But he doesnt want to. So he stayed inside for a loooooooong time. So poor thing.

dilly & dally 3
Cheewai just left our house to the airport. I can use the computer again.
This room suddenly seems empty.
It was raining today and all of us overslept! I woke up earlier to cook Joel's porridge...then i just wanted to get back to bed for a 5-mins nap...then i jumped up when i saw it was 1pm! (Joel had gone back to sleep too. Must have been the rain.)
So, we ordered delivery lunch. We rushed off to Joel's play class while Cheewai went to Codes Combine & H&M to look at stuffs.
When we wanted to go home to take his luggage, there were NO CABS! It's impossible when it's raining. With everyone snatching shamelessly for cabs, it was even more impossible...and disgusting (we were disgusted). The worse case scenario was to take a bus (Awww). So we walked to another street...then to PartyWorld KTV when we finally found an empty cab!!! Yippie!
The driver said she could wait downstairs. (Many drivers are more than happy to go to the Pudong airport coz the fare is about ¥150)
Joel waved Bye Bye to Cheewai GorGor (not uncle).
Today (Sunday),
2.50pm: to HuaiHai Road.
Taxi driver very blur...detour...5mins ride became 20mins (Angry)
3.15pm: 15 mins late for play class
4.15pm: H&M
5pm: Home...and we stayed in for dinner too coz it's been raining heavily the whole day... :(

dilly & dally 2
The guys are out clubbing AGAIN...so i can use the computer AGAIN! Joel also slept earlier today. ;)
Today (Saturday),
1pm: Dimsum lunch at Crystal Jade with Cheewai, Jayz and our other Singaporean friends Yang & Ching, Ken, Diana & little Kaithlyn. Everyone thinks Joel & Kaithlyn look alike. But Kaithlyn looks like her Daddy & Mommy, and Joel doesnt look like either one of us. He just looks like Kaithlyn. Maybe it's their rosy cheeks.
3pm: Elvis went in to office for a meeting. I brought them to ChangLe-XinLe Roads to shop. Both of them feels these small shops are too expensive. Edison's shop & Source SALE!!! Saw the shoe i liked again - ¥790, 30% off. Decided not to buy coz i already decided not to buy. I'm not falling for the SALE. ;p
4.30pm: Jayz had to leave to view apartments (for rent). Elvis came and we went to 1933.
5pm: 1933. Awed by the splendor of the ancient architecture. There's some new shops (fashion, cafes and restaurants) since the last time i went in Dec08. American Apparel is over-priced (¥250 & above for a plain tee. But the material is quite good).
6pm: Went to look for Cool Docks - famed as the new XTD. Was quite disappointed coz it was mainly just restaurants and cafes. We rested at Starbucks.
7.30pm: Dinner at DongBeiRen. Jayz decided not to join us and continue looking for his ideal apartment (he is not hopeful and has no choice but to increase his budget). The food at DongBeiRen is really good and cheap! Yummy! It's the same DongBei restaurant where we all had to dress in red for a wedding some months back.
9pm: Home to rest.
10.30pm: Joel drinks his milk and sleeps. The big boys hit the clubs...but first to a whisky bar. Club-hopping today coz 1 of our friend is spinning at some club. Mommy just pat Joel to sleep...and use the computer! Yippie! ;)
I checked my emails...our friends Ricky & Catherine (husband & wife) are interested in coming to Shanghai for a holiday! They're asking around to see who else is interested to join them. That means i'll probably be visiting all those tourist-tourist places again very soon! I should do more research for any new touristy things. ;)
P.S. Tomorrow, Cheewai has to leave our house at 4.30pm for the 7pm flight back to Singapore. 1 hour journey from Puxi town to Pudong PVG airport. He wanna see H&M and Codes Combine again. So we're going to HuaiHai Road again tomorrow. (I dont understand why he has to see 1st round, buy 2nd round - on the very last day)

In just these 2 days, i realized Cheewai is super duper dilly-dally, fickle-minded and takes very looong to get ready to go out! I never thought a guy would be like that! Maybe coz he's a super-star kind of guy! Quite funny! Hahaha... Or maybe i feel that way coz Elvis & i only need 15-mins to get ready. 30-mins max! ZOOM... But i have to salute him for being so impeccably dressed each time...and even those few strands of seemingly messy flyaway hair is not real messy-messy. FYI, it's been carefully sculptured. Keke... He dresses well. He's speaks so well. He's like a Mr. Perfect! Haha!

tour guide
I'll MIA for a few days coz our friend from Singapore is here and i'll be busy showing him around. Cheewai is Elvis' good pal and he's here to perform. Beijing was his 1st stop (2 shows), Shanghai 2nd stop (1 show). He's a sound artist who creates digital music and apparently his group is quite famous. Haha! They have traveled to many countries to perform - Japan, Bangkok, China and soon Korea too. Like a "world tour", right? But i dont really understand what he does lah. I just know it's like a DJ yet it's all done on the Mac.
So since he's an artiste, i've been trying to dig out all the arty farty addresses to bring him to. He doesnt have much in mind except for DVD shopping...and to look at some fashion brands...and the famous The Bund (which Elvis doesnt wanna go, so i'll have to be the tour guide tomorrow). I checked the museums, but no nice shows now... We could still go to MOCA for an exhibition which could be interesting.
Today (Thursday), we were super starving, so i brought him to Afternoon Tea at XinTianDi for late lunch then to TianZiFang. He like! He like! We also went to I.T., H&M, Codes Combine...home to rest...then dinner with Elvis...Muji and Uniqlo...and DVD shopping!!! He also like although he didnt buy anything. Instead, i was the one who buy & buy! ;p (Paiseh)
Elvis is out again with him now...to some clubs... I think he will like too. So i can blog a bit... Tell u i will MIA...in case u miss me. ;)
Tomorrow (Friday), i plan to bring him to The Bund followed by the wholesale place for cheap shopping. Maybe squeeze in a MOCA or ChengHuang Temple/Yuyuan if we can. Problem is Cheewai wakes up in the afternoon and i also have to wait for Ahyi to come in...so we only have half a day...or less coz i have to be home by 7pm to pick Joel up for dinner with Elvis if he can leave his office early.
We'll go to 1933 on Saturday since Elvis has never been there before either. Cheewai should be leaving on Sunday. A short stay...
One of my friend, Jayz, also just arrived in Shanghai to work. Today is his 1st day at work. So we'll be meeting up together over the weekends to tour a bit of Shanghai. ;)
Do come back next week to see where we've been to. Bye!
Cheewai is very tall and super stylish - dressed like a pop star - but he doesnt like to take photos (of himself) in public. So, i'm not sure if i can post any pictures of him. But i did convince him to take 2 quick shots in the back alleys in XTD today coz it's just too lovely! Haha! An artiste have to look cool & composed at all times. That's something i've learnt. Cannot take those kawaii shots of yourself holding the camera up! Okay, i'm sometimes guilty of that. Anyway, who cares esp when you're on holiday! Keke... ;p

ten cents photos
I've finally sorted part of Joel's photos (Dec08-Jan09) and i brought them to the Kodak shop opposite out house. Actually, i knew someone else had taken over the shop (not the previous owner), but i've not been there to develop photos for some months. The signage is also new. Not Kodak. But there's posters outside stating '4x6" ¥0.36'. Since i dont know how to read the Chinese text, i pop in to ask if they're also using Kodak paper. The guy said Yes.
When i went to the shop yesterday to get the photos printed, i was so surprised it's super cheap! It used to be ¥1.10 per piece 4R-size when it was still the Kodak store (already very cheap compared to Singapore prices). At this 5m8m.com 美图馆 store, it's ¥0.70, but if i pay ¥30 to buy their VIP member card, it's only ¥0.50! That's equivalent to S$0.10¢!!! The guy said that i can even go to their website, upload my photos and get them printed for 36¢! Unbelievable, right?!!! But to print, you have to top-up ¥ into the card - everything online. So, i actually asked him, "Real or not?". He kept emphasizing to me that they now have more x number of members. Haha! Being in China makes you skeptical about things sometimes. ;p
You can also choose to print on Kodak or Fuji paper.
Since the shop is so near our house, i decided to do it the non-virtual way, paying 50¢ for each print. Anyway, i'm already saving sooo much money on the prints. Now, i've got more motivation to sort the rest of the photos! Haha! (I hope they dont close down so soon)
A quick look at their website (only in Chinese), they have 7 shops in Shanghai - which is not many considering Shanghai is so huge. They also offer other services such as making those figurine from your photos, puzzles, mugs etc. Not bad! Not bad! If only i knew how to read more Chinese... :/

If you ever come shopping in Shanghai, you'll have to visit NiHong for kids! (It's actually Neon Kids Place) It's at PuAn/JingLing Roads and is an underground shopping "mall"! Everyone goes there - even the very rich angmoh expats with drivers waiting for them outside. It's very near to HuaiHai Road, but we only knew of this place after we had Joel. If you dont have kids, you wont even know this street exist! It's a "big boss" who told us to go there, and fyi, they live in huge villa.
There's LOTS of clothes for babies and toddlers. However, there's very little selection for young children. Here, you'll really shop till you drop! Some are factory rejects with slight defects (randomly), some are just extras from the factories, some are fakes (eg. the fake "Polo Ralph Lauren" & "Burberry" polos & dresses selling in Spore which i wont recommend firstly coz it's fake and coz it can be quite obvious or of bad quality). Most clothes are made for export, so you might find some really nice pieces! Just bring more cash - esp if you have girls! Keke... ;p

Joel's most expensive clothes is probably the GAP winter coat Elvis bought from Tokyo. (But do plan a trip here before your kid gets "too big" coz the variety gets lesser)

A/W08-S/S09-A/W09
Joel has lots of clothes, so we think it's good to give them away or it'll be wasted esp since there's 4 seasons here. S/S cannot wear A/W clothes, vice versa.
Elvis has a colleague with a 5 month old son, and she wants Joel's clothes. But her baby is now SAME WEIGHT as Joel! 10kg!!! Elvis dont think it'll fit her baby next winter. (Probably need to start wearing winter clothes again around October.) Another colleague has a baby nephew and is also keen to take over Joel's clothes!
On Sunday morning, i tried to look for some of Joel's winter clothes to give away when Spring is finally over. Meanwhile Joel can also wear the "smaller" clothes more often now. Coz sometimes the temperature will drop (again)...all the way till late May...before summer really comes. I'll try to pack everything winter by summer, and everything summer by spring.
The problem is, i realized i have mostly fleece pants & bodysuits to give away. Stuffs that will be too short/tight by year-end. Really not that many tops to give away! Probably only a few sweaters, rompers and his blue H&M winter jacket. Those daily-wear rompers we will not give away lah since they'll be quite worn by then (paiseh). Of course, we also like to snip off some of Joel's rompers/onesies into tees...so some of those can still put aside. Keke... ;p
(Hint: You can also sew up the hems of tshirts to make little cushions)
I found these 2 pieces which Joel wore on Sunday.
It's his FIRST shirt from Zara (3-6mths) & Fox Baby 3/4 pants (also 3-6mths) when he was 1 month old for CNY. It sure looks very big on tiny Joel then 4kg. Surprisingly, the pants actually fits just nice now! Really 3/4 pants for his short legs! The shirt is a bit too small...but still quite stylish like a tight-fit cowboy shirt! (Of course, no parent will buy this "real fit" for their baby!) Joel also wore a short-sleeve white Gap onesie inside since it was still pretty cold. He wore a cardigan on the outside.
THE LOOK: Smart Casual
Joel's clothes - tees, sweaters, jackets - are mostly quite big and he can probably wear them for another year. Maybe it's becoz i usually buy Japanese size 90 = 90cm height = about 2yrs. When i bought them, he's about a real size 80. If it's 'months', i will buy about +/-3 his 'real months'.

We got up early and went to Pudong with Elvis' colleague to do some stuffs. After that, we wanted to go to Super Brand Mall 正大广场 for lunch but we took a wrong turn (towards the tunnel), so we decided to go back to Puxi and head to XTD Afternoon Tea for lunch instead. Ann called us at the same time, so we arranged to meet at AT. Haha... We're always doing late lunches together!
(Super Brand Mall is somewhat the biggest/newest mall in Pudong. We've only been there a few times coz we're mostly in Puxi.)
XinTianDi was crowded! The weather was so lovely everyone was out of the house! It looked very much like the cafes in Paris! People just enjoyed the sun! Look at the photos of the AT pastries i took while waiting for our seats! Looks very yummy, right? That's why i can eat it every week! ;)
(Their set meal of Food + Drink + Sweets/Cake is ¥88. For ¥100, you get to choose a soup too! Everyday till 6pm.)
Ann said she also thought of going to Super Brand Mall...so we took a taxi there. We shop, shop, shop... The Uniqlo store there is very huge!
(Uniqlo UT kids-sized tees SALE! Only ¥59 each. Usual ¥79. Keke... Too bad they're too big for Joel. Smallest size is 100 Japanese size. I can fit their size 140/150 so i bought 2 kids tees for myself!)
We went back to Puxi JinXian Road 进䝨路 to continue shopping and have late dinner/supper at 10pm...then home. So tired after the 1 day Shanghai Pudong/Puxi tour! ;p
(I've blogged about JinXian Road before here. It's also small shops similar to ChangLe Road. There's some antique shops there too. But JinXian Road is a very short street.)

We went to Joel's play class at Gymboree then we had tea-break at Wagas. I've always wanted to try their food...but Elvis says it's not good. Lots of angmohs go there the whole day. Actually, their cakes are also not superb and over-priced. ¥20-25 for a very tiny slice. I still very much prefer AT's pastries/cakes.
After that, we headed to Pudong again to do some stuffs. For dinner, we met our Japanese/American, Singaporean, Shanghainese friends for dinner at Daikichi 大吉 at GuBei district (TaoHong/GuYang Roads). It's a very small restaurant with ALL Japanese customers. Most of the food are skewered, so we ordered a lot to share! Super yummy! I like it! Hope to go back again next time.
Then it was time to go home after another long day...
(The restaurant was packed when we arrived. Need to make reservations. We stayed till after 10pm, so when i took these pictures, there wasnt many people left in the restaurant)
P.S. O ya, we let Joel wear his 3-6mths Zara checks shirt and it still fits!!! Though tight-fit lah. He wore them when he was 1 month old during CNY 2008. And his 3-6 mths pants fit well too! Length is just nice! Hahaha... ;p

We got up early and went to Pudong with Elvis' colleague to do some stuffs.
