It was a rare day that Joel sat inside his stroller. Of course, you can still see he has his Bear Bear and pacificer at all times. The weather was good - not too warm - becoz all of us prayed to God. (It has been raining everyday for the past week)
Sarah liked the elephant ride and the tram ride - the 2 reason she came to the zoo for. But the highlight of the zoo trip was the Water Play for both Sarah and Joel. Although Joel was timid and not well prepared (Mommy didnt bring Joel's swimsuit), he enjoyed "drinking" the water pretty much. Keke...
We went to VivoCity after the zoo to Build-A-Bear for Sarah's coming 6th birthday. The bear was named Stephanie who also likes pink - just like Sarah!
We got home 30 mins before we had to leave for the wedding...so i guess Joel was pretty tired that he slept till noon the next day. Haha! ;p

hey, my family is planning to go to the zoo this sat too!! a hkg friend is coming and so bringing her and bao along as bao has not been there...hope weather ok la...
the water play looks as fun as what my colleague says...did you get wet when joel was playing with water? wonder if we need to brg extra clothing for yrself as well...
oh ya forgot to ask how u find the maclaren stroller? recently there was reports that the stroller may snap a baby hand if not careful...and can go get the guard or something to prevent it from the importer...

Yeah, i knew about the recall...but i guess it's ok lah. Our model i think the grey lever is quite safe.
I find the DayTripper easy to open/close...though it's heavier than i thought. We felt the handles are a bit too high and very difficult to grip it when going down stairs etc (when have to lift the stroller up). Which part do u hold?
I was surprised there's 2 positions too! So Joel can sleep more comfortably. But i'm not sure if he prefers his old stroller since he hardly wanna sit on this. :(
As for the Zoo Water Play, you have to bring extra set of clothes for yourself & Bao. It's almost impossible not to get wet while looking after him. Too many "water traps" around. If Bao doesnt have a swimsuit, a normal tee is good enough - if u're afraid he's cold. I brought extra clothes for Joel but i just let him go topless. Have to bring towel too. There's a bathroom and a KFC/Ben & Jerry just beside too. The slides are for kids above 110cm...but the other stuff for toddlers is good enough for them. HAVE FUN! ;)

we will usually hold the stroller (while its open) n bring down stairs whether Bao is in it or not...will not close and then bring down stairs...
We seldom put bao on the stroller and go down the escalator...papa refuse to do so saying its dangerous...and there was one time i saw a man who lost his grip on the stroller and the stroller went down the escalator! i was so shocked! Lucky the boy was intact when the stroller landed .....so we take extra care if we reali have to go on escalator

i meant which part of the stroller will u hold (when it's open)? coz it doesnt have a bar across...so it's difficult to grip. the foot rest is kinda too low also leh... -.-lll
yes, can adjust 2 positions. the upright position is very uncomfortable for them to sleep in (worse than my old stroller). there's a rubber hook at the back (around the head area)...unhook it and move it to the back frame. it's quite tight...need a bit of strength. :)
oh i will hold the sides if empty...if bao is in it, i will hold the back and the leg rest......actually not v safe to do this so we usually one person hold one side of the stroller and move ....

Thanks! We also found it kinda dangerous, not to mention awkward, when we need to lift the Maclaren. :/
